New York Comic Con is one of the biggest shows in the nation when it comes to geek and pop culture. This year was no exception with record attendance at the Jacob Javitz center and an even larger cosplay presence. So like every other con we go to we go though our favorite picks! I have ten top cosplays I want to share with one being a top cos of the show.

WONDER WOMAN:

Wonder Woman costumes are a dime a dozen at a con, but when a cosplayer has a fantastic costume AND an attitude to boot that goes with it, this girl had that in spades!

LITTLE LADY DAREDEVIL:

What an absolute cutie-patootie! This kiddo had all the swagger on the planet in her "RAWR" face! I had to give her top marks for her stuff, way to go kid... way to go!

1960'S ERA BATMAN:

We see lots of 1960's era Batman costumes, usually they look more or less like the Adam West/Batman costume from the widely popular tv-series... but this guy took more cues from the comics... giving the 1960's Batman a more bad-ass take... fitting with it being the 75th Anniversary for the Dark Knight.

FEMME-BEAST:

Tale as old as time... I've seen a good number of Rule 63 takes on Disney characters, but rarely do I ever see them do the Beast. The dress looked fantastic and the coat truly completed the ensemble. Well done, she was Beauty AND the Beast.

NEW 52 RED HOOD/JASON TODD:

I saw a few Red Hoods at the con with quite a few of them being pretty damn spot on... but the details in this guy's costume from his mask to his body armor show an absolute love for the character. Great job on the mask especially!

GREEN LANTERN:

It's rare that I come across a very well done Green Lantern, while the armor or the tights or even the accessories go... there is always something missing. This photo truly captures that with green glowing armor and a green glowing ring. In brightest day... in blackest night...

VERA (JAYNE COBB'S GUN):

This was super charming, and what a pleasant lady to talk to about all thing Firefly. I loved her costume and the details on the hat especially, oh so fancy!

RON SWANSON:

This guy had me rolling, not only did he have the stache and the eyebrow raise... but the voice was spot on as well. Someone give this man a steak... with a side of steak... and another steak for dessert. Well done!

HE-MAN:

Okay, this is self explanatory why I picked this dude... I mean what better way to be He-Man than to be a truly beefy dude right? Awesome.

CASSANDRA AND HER ATTENDANT:

A combination cosplay and prop, anyone who was a fan of the first couple seasons of the NEW Doctor Who series will recognize that super flat and stretched thing with the eyes and lips as Cassandra the last human. Moisturize me...

TOP COSPLAY: BATMAN FAMILY PHOTO

I love it when families cosplay together, I loved it how this family portrayed a such a perfect trio. Batman/Bruce Wayne, Robin/Damien Wayne, and the boy's mother Talia al Ghul. Very well done and absolutely gotta award this trio the TOP(COS) award.
