Cosplay Wednesday this week introduces cosplayer, Breezeeweezee Cosplay, here to show us her pretty awesome genderbent Moon Knight cosplay. Son of a rabbi, Marc Spector's background is quite an impressive one - U.S. Marine, heavyweight boxer, a mercenary... he is very obviously strong and skilled in combat. Initially Moon Knight was intended to be a one-shot villain, but readers loved him so he was included as a guest in various comics, including teaming up with Spider Man, Daredevil, and Iron Man, to name a few. He is quite the unstable knight of vengeance, carrying multiple personalities as a consequence of having become Khonshu's avatar. However, the result of having several personalities only caused him to become stronger, faster, with increased stamina and reflexes, and to add on top that, it also protects him from certain psychic powers. There's a lot going on with Moon Knight, but I can see why Breezeeweezee picked him to cosplay! He sounds like a total badass. Check out how she gender bent this !
1. How long have you been cosplaying?
Less than a year. My first cosplay was finished in August 2015
2. Why did you choose to cosplay this character?
I really wanted to do a Marvel Character and I wanted to showcase a lesser known character. Plus, with his rumored Netflix show, I wanted to get ahead of the game!
3. How long did it take you to complete?
This cosplay took 1 week to finish working on and off. Total time spent was 17 hours.
4. Any difficulties when constructing the costume?
I had a brief moment of panic when it came to the face shell. I had a deadline and it wasn't turning out how I had hoped. I managed to figure something out and it turned out great!
5. What do you love most about cosplaying this character?
I get to be a superhero that a surprising amount of people know and love. I love being able to bring that rare treasure to life! Plus, Marc Spector has multiple personalities, and I love that.
6. Where did you debut this costume? If you haven't... where do you plan to debut?
I debuted it at Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo at the end of April this year.
7. What's next? Cosplay related of course...
I'm working on a couple mashup cosplays at the moment! You'll have to tune in to social media to see what exactly I'm making! ;)
This is amazing work. I hope they do make this into a series or a movie! Looking forward to seeing your mashup cosplays!
