(cos)WED: RWBY's Ruby Rose by Aquine Cosplay

Welcome to Cosplay Wednesday's feature of Aquine Cosplay as Ruby from RWBY. Many of you already know this, but RWBY is an American anime web series created by Monty Oum (passed away February of 2015) and produced by Rooster Teeth Productions. The show is already into its 4th season this quarter, and cosplay from this series is still active. Ruby Rose is a character in the show, the main protagonist yielding a pretty awesome weapon called the Crescent Rose - a sniper / scythe weapon. This is a great show and if you haven't watched it, give it a shot! We love RWBY cosplayers and introduce you all to Aquine Cosplay's take on Ruby below.

1. How long have you been cosplaying?
I have been cosplaying for about two years!
2. Why did you choose to cosplay this character?
I think I suit the personality of Ruby super well. She is fun and easy going and super cute! I also love her outfit and how the black and red colours contrast each other.
3. How long did it take you to complete?
It took me about two months on and off.
4. Any difficulties when constructing the costume?
This was my first completely sewn costume so everything was super new to me! The hardest part was probably sewing on the collar.
5. What do you love most about cosplaying this character?
It's a pretty comfortable costume and she is super recognizable!
6. Where did you debut this costume? If you haven't... where do you plan to debut?
I first wore this costume this year at Anime Revolution 2016 in Vancouver. Was awesome!
7. What's next? Cosplay related of course..
I plan to make her scythe to complete the costume. Then I hope to complete the details of my D.Va gun.
