Welcome to this week's Cosplay Wednesday spotlight, featuring cosplayer, Arianna Lynn.  She's here to show us her Ruby Rose cosplay from the popular anime inspired web series, RWBY (created by the talented Monty Oum). Besides having intelligence at designing and making her Crescent Rose (High-Caliber Sniper-Scythe) weapon, she is highly skilled in battle, and has a strong sense of moral justice. At the same time, she appears naive, innocent, childish, and impulsive.  No doubt we see why anybody would want to cosplay this cute Ruby Rose. Check out how Arianna Lynn did it!

1. How long have you been cosplaying?
I have been cosplaying six years now

2. Why did you choose to cosplay this character?
I chose to do this because her and I are so much alike and it's fun being her. There is nothing more different when I am cosplaying this character. I feel alive and energetic while in this cosplay.

3. How long did it take you to complete?
Between cutting, measuring... I want to say at least four months with my friend Alden who was gifted with prop making had me set.

4. Any difficulties when constructing the costume?
Measurements are my weakest point and I will honestly admit that I made it a little small but it fits! I already had to replace the zipper twice so far!

5. What do you love most about cosplaying this character?
Ruby is a energetic, playful, and serious monster hunter. Like me, I like to hunt and create and make friends. What I love about cosplaying this character is the fact that I am always making new friends just like Ruby. I am easily recognized and I love seeing people and watching them approach with a hello or a compliment; it always turns into a meaningful conversation followed by bonding and befriending.

6. Where did you debut this costume? If you haven't... where do you plan to debut?
I made to Ohayocon 2015 and will return for Colossalcon this June. I plan to take it to Matsuricon as well various more within the next year.

7. What's next? Cosplay related of course...
My next cosplay I want to say Lucy from Fairy Tail. I am also currently working on Freed Justine from Fairy Tail, and Chris Lightfellow from Suikoden 3.  These are all my projects to hopefully be done by the end of 2016.

Great job on the whole cosplay!
