They've done it... it's official... Star Wars: The Force Awakens has officially surpassed Avatar's record setting $760 Million US earnings, officially become the highest grossing film in the US in just 20 days.
While taking into account international numbers, Avatar still has the top spot having earned a staggering $2 Billion... leagues ahead of the $800 Million earned internationally by The Force Awakens.
Personally, I feel like it can make it... if anyone can dethrone Avatar, it's Star Wars.
