In some surprising news, Disney has cast their Belle for the live action musical adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. Emma Watson of Harry Potter series fame will bring Belle to wondrous life!
The rest of the cast isn't fully announced yet, but Disney has been on a roll with their live action adaptations of classic tales. Emma looks like she'd be perfect as Belle! I've been a fan of hers since the very first Harry Potter film and have delighted to see her grow into a beautiful and talented young actress.
I don't know much about Emma's pipes, and if she can hold a tune I hope that she can play a worthy Belle. Here's hoping for something grand right?
