This week's Cosplay Wednesday features Stephanie Storm Cosplay as Black Canary from the TV series, Arrow. If you aren't following the Arrow series, you should definitely start! Without spoiling anything, Stephanie Storm Cosplay is doing the Sara Lance version of Black Canary. Sara Lance is a strong, confident, head strong warrior, who was a previous member of the League of Assassins. Due to her time in the League of Assassins, she became a cold hearted killer. When she became Canary in Team Arrow, she had her sense of honor but still felt guilty for her actions. Despite all this, she still cares and loves Oliver. Check out how Stephanie Storm Cosplay wore this cosplay and what she had to say about her cosplay.
1. How long have you been cosplaying?
Just over 2 years.
2. Why did you choose to cosplay this character?
I had a group that was supposed to do the characters from the show. I chose Sara Lance version of the character because she kicks butt and is such a strong female character.
3. How long did it take you to complete?
About 2 weeks.
4. Any difficulties when constructing the costume?
My sewing machine broke so I had to use my friends.
Also, there aren't many pictures of her full costume on the show so I had to keep stopping an episode to take photos of it.
5. What do you love most about cosplaying this character?
This is a version of the character not many people do.
I put a lot of work into making it as accurate as I possibly could.
It brings me so much joy when people love it and the compliments I get are wonderful.
6. Where did you debut this costume? If you haven't... where do you plan to debut?
I debuted it at Salt Lake Comic Con 2015.
7. What's next? Cosplay related of course...
I just finished working on my Princess Aurora costume and I'm working on many others including Pheonix, Sonya Blade, and Princess Belle as Boba Fett.
Great work Stephanie! We can't wait to see what you plan to put together!
