So this is a "thing!"

Looks like after an apparent Amazon leak, WB Games and Netherrealm Studios (the guys behind the immensely stellar Injustice: Gods Among Us) decided show off the trailer for the forthcoming Mortal Kombat X. The father of the fatality finisher has been teasing something on the Twitter-verse lately and the DC Comics nerd (and huge Injustice fan) in me was hoping that it would be the a sequel to the aforementioned game.

Fans of the catchphrase "GET OVER HERE!" are instead treated to the next entry in MK. After rebooting with the 9th installment of the memorably controversial ultra-violent fighting game (simply dubbed Mortal Kombat) Netherrealm found that sweet spot once again, something the series severely lacked since coming into the third dimension. Personally, I'm looking forward to it... but can I please just have a sequel to Injustice as well?

Check the trailer below along with some screenshots I grabbed from it (click to enlarge)... along with a pretty gruesome FATALITY.
