So it's officially official... after speculation and some confirmation, the primary cast of the David Ayers Supervillain-Team-Up-Squad is announced... as we mentioned earlier... Margot Robbie is offically Harley Quinn, former Arkham psychiatrist Harleen Quinzel turned mad clown girl after following her affections down a Joker toxin feuled rabbit-hole. But it looks like the rumor surrounding Jared Leto as the Joker also turns out to be true as well. So how does the rest of the cast look?
The first three are the most high profile DC Comics characters to appear...
With Tom Hardy confirmed to be Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, and Cara Delevigne as Enchantress.
The biggest worry is the VERY BIG shoes Jared Leto will have to fill. After Heath Ledger's amazing performence as the Joker in The Dark Knight, Leto has to have some serious stones to take on this role. Personally, I think Leto will be great... and this film will be a fun romp with some of the DC Universe's baddies. Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor is also murmered to be in the film as well... but his involvement in the overarching narrative isn't yet known. my only hopes...
- They don't try to put Joker IN the squad, there to explain Harley's backstory is all well and good... but the Joker could never be controlled enough to be a part of Task Force X. Also, same with Luthor... I don't know how he'll fit but he doesn't belong in Task Force X
- People are kind to Jared Leto... he isn't Heath Ledger and he isn't trying to replace Heath Ledger. This is a brand new interpretation of the Joker... let's see how he does first.
- They cast a PRE-Flashpoint Amanda Waller... I say Queen Latifah...
- Tom Hardy doesn't make up yet ANOTHER ridiculous accent
