I don't think this film sets out to cash in on the victims of the tragedy, everyone gets their dues by the end

The set up build and builds over the course of two acts culminating in a the teardown in the final act

The main cast of women...make for a wonderful trio I could watch all day

Dev Patel as Saroo has this sadness that is just so heart wrenching and Sunny Pawar as his younger self is just fantastic.

The previously un-adapted story was the most engaging for me as it was a completely fresh experience,

The performances are equally explosive and subdued when it is required and Denzel and Viola just disappear into their roles. 

The real star was Sennia Nanua as Melanie. She brings a real charisma and charm to the role.

This is not another story about Christians defending their faith... it allows for both sides to speak and  does not declare a winner
