Cosplay and Video Games: PAX 2013

So with another PAX in the record books, let's round out the coverage with some of my top picks from the convention!
PAX Prime is quickly growing to be one of the biggest conventions on the west coast and the biggest convention in the PNW. From preliminary numbers, the buzz is that this year's PAX PRIME has eclipsed Emerald City Comic Con (last year with about 70,000 in attendance) as the largest con in the PNW. This isn't surprising with badges selling out completely in less than five hours.

With the influx in attendance come an influx of cosplayers! Talented costumers from far and wide attended the convention. I myself rocked out as one of (I think maybe) three Delsin Rowe cosplayers at the entire convention! Sucker Punch was all over us and I continually had someone who worked for them coming up to me, giving me a pin and thanking me for representing their new hero (or villain?). The forthcoming inFAMOUS: Second Son is my most anticipated game of the next generation, and with the game's setting taking place in Seattle, I was surprised more people weren't cosplaying Delsin Rowe. Since the "costume" was pretty much the typical "hi I'm a Seattle hipster with pins on my denim vest and a hoodie" some people didn't recognize it right away, but when they did it was one of those "Ah Ha" moments.

As for our top pick, this guy has to have it! Not only was his facial expressions spot on but that barrel on his back (that he was lugging around all con) was actually a 70lb barrel... holy shit dude! Talk about accuracy!
