SOS!! SAVE OUR SNAKE!!

Here's a little something I am immensely disappointed with, which is sad because it greatly rains on my MGS fandom parade. Amidst all the excitement of the forthcoming Metal Gear Solid entry Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain , Konami did not hire David Hayter back to lend his iconic voice to this iconic sneaking hero. David Hayter has voiced this character since Metal Gear Solid on the PlayStation console came out back in 1998. His gruff delivery was iconic for the character, I remember fondly reminiscing about the first Metal Gear when I played MGS and said to myself "NOW THAT'S HOW SNAKE SOUNDED IN MY HEAD!" It was the perfect performance and one David Hayter would continue to deliver with in all major console iterations. It has also been confirmed that Akio Ohtsuka would be reprising his performance as Snake/Big Boss on the Japanese dub.
Greg Miller with IGN has urged us as fans to get on the horn and tweet this out directly of Hideo Kojima and Konami, that we WANT David Hayter as SNAKE (or Big Boss or whatevs) because it would be right. This talented voice actor has proven his chops time and time again, he deserves a place in this chapter of an iconic franchise... so hit the twitters and send the tweet out! It's a call to arms g33ks!!
