This week's Cosplay Wednesday features San Diegan cosplayer, Pastry Fiend Cosplay! She chose to showcase her beautiful Black Canary cosplay. Black Canary is a superhero vigilante who fights crime using martial arts and is known for her power, the Canary Cry, a high pitched sonic scream strong enough to shatter objects as tough as steel. She's incredibly confident and strong but also stubborn, doesn't take crap from anyone, and determined to do everything her way. Check out how Pastry Fiend Cosplay portrayed this beautiful heroine!

1. How long have you been cosplaying?
I've been cosplaying seriously for about 5 years. Its been quite a good experience.
2. Why did you choose to cosplay this character?
I love what a strong character black canary is and she has this pin up looking vibe with her character design which i love so much. Her super sonic voice definitely cool as well especially how she utilizes it getting out of a sticky situation.
3. How long did it take you to complete?
It took me probably two full dedicated days, this was something easier to make for me since she has no weapons.
4. Any difficulties when constructing the costume?
This is actually my first body suit, so that was a learning process for me!
5. What do you love most about cosplaying this character?
I love that i can wear all black, since i normally wear a lot of black in my daily life. But i think the best part of cosplaying in general is seeing someone calling your characters name out when you pass by.
6. Where did you debut this costume? If you haven't... where do you plan to debut?
I debut this cosplay at San Diego Comic Con 2014.
7. What's next? Cosplay related of course...
I am currently working on Black Cat from spider man and Shadow Cat from X-men, i have a thing for girls in black~
